M.Sc. IN MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY IN MICROBIOLOGY

•  Intake Capacity: 6 seats each for Microbiology and Biochemistry.
•  Seat Matrix: 20% seats are reserved under State / Govt. quota and 80% seats are under Management quota.
•  Eligibility Criteria: BMLT, B.Sc. MLT, B. Sc. Honours in Life Sciences like Microbiology, B.Sc.+DMLT Biochemistry, Physiology etc. from any recognized University.
•  Mode of Admission: Through entrance examination conducted by the University

Career Prospect:

a) Can get job as a “Chief Medical Laboratory Technician” or “Senior Medical Laboratory Technician”, “Quality Control Officer” at various Central/State Govt. /Private Hospitals, Diagnostic Centre, Nursing Homes etc.
b) Can set up his or her own Diagnostic Centres, Pathological Labs etc.
c) Can join a Medical Laboratory Technology College or Institution as an “Asst. Professor”.
d) After qualifying the NET or equivalent Examination, one can become a Junior Research Fellow or Research Associate at various Govt. sponsored Research Projects at prestigious institutions.
e) Can get job in food and beverage industries.
