Vitamins are chemicals that our bodies require in order to grow and develop healthily. There are 13 vitamins that our bodies require. A, B, C, D, E, K, vitamin B-6, and vitamin B-12 are a few examples. In our daily lives, we acquire almost all of these vitamins from the foods we eat. Vitamins D and K can also be produced by our bodies.

Each vitamin has a distinct purpose. Deficit disease is caused by any vitamin deficiency. Rickets, for example, can be caused by a lack of vitamin D. Night blindness can be caused by a vitamin ‘A’ deficiency.

Minerals: Minerals regulate our physiological activities as well as the formation of body tissues. Minerals, like vitamins, help our bodies function correctly, but they do not prevent weight loss. We obtain it through our regular diets, so we don’t need to take it separately. Minerals strengthen our immune systems. Chloride, calcium, copper, chromium, fluoride, iron, and iodine are all significant minerals. These minerals may be found in our everyday foods or liquid supplements such as salt, soy sauce, milk, vegetable oils, whole grains, cheese, nuts, and so on.

Water: Water covers 70% of the entire mass of the human body. Water shapes cells and serves as a medium for bodily activities. It is a very important nutrient that is not present in all nutrients. It is also the most prevalent form of liquid in the human body. Water aids in the removal of waste materials from the body and helps to regulate body temperature.

Proteins, carbs, lipids, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water are all required for a healthy human body to flourish. Macronutrients are essential, although micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) can be consumed in smaller amounts.
